Position SummaryIn this role, you will establish and maintain strong customer relationships by providing personalized financial advice and solutions to help customers achieve their goals. As a Personal Banker, you will manage a portfolio of customers while staying well‑versed in all bank products and services. You will also identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services that align with customers' needs, helping them achieve greater financial well‑being.

Execute the Sales and Service program of the department when working with customers.
- Fully understand the products and services that are applicable to their role and recommend those products to clients when appropriate.
- Proficiently explain and cross‑sell banking products and services to clients based on their needs.
- Process applications for deposit accounts, loans, credit cards, and safe deposit boxes.
- Utilize active listening skills to fully understand client needs.
- Ask questions to open up conversation and uncover solutions and opportunities.
- Deliver world class customer service by exceeding customer's expectations and building brand loyalty.
- Responsible for the growth and quality of their assigned portfolio.
- Strive to meet goals that have been set for them and for their team.
- Refer clients to in‑house financial experts and/or relevant departments, such as Wealth Management, Commercial Banking or Ag Banking.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Know how their role fits in to the strategic plan of the bank and their department.
- Based on location, there may additional responsibilities assigned.
Follow guidelines, policies, and procedures of the bank to keep errors to a minimum.
- Collect and input accurate information from clients.
- Errors are identified quickly and remedied efficiently.
- Use solid judgement when making decisions and keep the Bank's policies, procedures, and reputation in mind.
- Exceptions are well thought out and documented with proper approval.
- Stay current with changes to Bank policies and procedures.
- Perform administrative duties, such as data entry as needed.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision. Self‑motivated.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct relationships in a manner that ensures cooperation and positive results.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of accuracy required.
- Demonstrate a high degree of concern for professional and innovative customer service.
