An established and rapidly growing renewable energy EPC contractor is seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team.
This is a rare opportunity to lead operations for a business delivering utility-scale renewable energy infrastructure across the United States, with ambitious growth plans and a strong reputation for quality project delivery.
The COO will work closely with the CEO and Board to drive operational excellence, scale the business nationally and build the systems, teams and processes required for the next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
You will have full operational responsibility across engineering, project delivery, construction, project management, HSE and field operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.
This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution and will suit someone who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all operational functions across engineering, project management and construction
- Develop scalable operating systems to support continued national expansion
- Build and mentor high-performing leadership teams
- Drive project performance across safety, quality, programme and commercial delivery
- Improve operational efficiency and margin through standardisation and continuous improvement
- Partner with executive leadership to execute long-term growth strategy, including future acquisitions and geographic expansion
- Provide clear operational reporting and performance metrics to the executive team and Board
Ideal Background
We're interested in speaking with leaders who have:
- Executive leadership experience within EPC, renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure
- A proven record of managing complex construction portfolios
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Experience scaling organisations through periods of rapid growth
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative, people-first leadership style
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (advanced qualifications advantageous)
