Overview
Rehabilitation and Critical Care Hospital of the Black Hills is seeking Critical Care Registered Nurses to join our team. The hospital is located in Rapid City, South Dakota, and offers 36 inpatient medical rehabilitation beds and 18 long‑term acute care beds.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, evaluate and revise a plan of care for assigned patients and families.
- Provide direct nursing care and delegate and supervise all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act.
- Demonstrate clinical competence, manage patient care, improve quality of care, establish professional relationships, and fulfill responsibilities of the role at the hospital.
- Develop clinical expertise per specialty.
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor.
- Current ACLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor required within six months of hire.
- Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
