Nurse Practitioner

Vision Quest Solutions is actively recruiting a contract Nurse Practitioner for an IHS government contract in Fort Thompson, South Dakota.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams.
• Diagnose and manage acute, chronic, and complex health conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging, EKGs).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and manage pharmacotherapy.
• Provide patient education, counseling, and health promotion guidance.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain detailed patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Active/unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate-level education:
  Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
• National board certification in a population focus (e.g., FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, ACNP-BC).
• Advanced clinical training and competency evaluation.

• Strong diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making.
• Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic tests.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to ethical practice and continued professional development.

Hourly Rate: $105 - $115 per hour (please note this is a rough estimate and salary will be set at the time of the contract award)

Schedule:

Mon - Fri, 8 am to 5 pm

An active and unrestricted RN license from any State is acceptable.

Must be a United States citizen with no need for sponsorship.
