Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift Specialty (US Foods, Aurora, IL)

We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift at our Aurora, IL Stock Yards location.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 12:00 am, Saturdays as needed with overtime. Bring your toolkit and expertise to keep production equipment running.

• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all production/facility equipment.
• Submit equipment reports, record actions/repairs, and maintain repair logs per USF policy.
• Complete all documentation for equipment activities (assembly, disassembly, PM logs).
• Perform preventive maintenance and log PM activities with proper documentation.
• Comply with USF and government safety guidelines (Lock Out/Tag Out, placarding, PPE).
• Maintain battery‑charging area, batteries, and associated equipment.
• Manage company tools, replacement parts, and maintenance equipment inventory.

West Rock is hiring a Maintenance Technician for routine and extensive preventive maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical systems. Shift: 2nd 155‑10p or 3rd M‑F 955pm‑6am, some weekends.

• Perform skilled and semi‑skilled maintenance; minor and major repair of buildings and equipment.
• Electrical and control circuit repair; NFPA 70E compliance.
• Install and replace electrical wiring and equipment; control circuits.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Preventive maintenance of mechanical equipment: inspect belts, fluid levels, filters, greases, seals.
• Operate control‑system computers.
• Calibrate pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and records.
