What we are searching for

• Must have a valid Class A CDL
• Must have a safe driving record / clear MVR.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
• Able to operate an 18-wheel tractor / trailer to deliver and pick up products from the stores.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a 53ft. tractor / trailer.
• Must be willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Salary:
Competitive Wages - The hourly rate for this role is $XX per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

What you will be doing

• The essential functions and basic duties of the CDL Driver include pre and post trip inspections, safe loading/unloading, and proper operation of equipment. As a Delivery Driver you are responsible for reviewing paperwork for completeness and accuracy, checking orders for the correct number of cases, delivering, and unloading products using equipment such as tractor/trailer/ramps/pallet jacks/load bars and other devices.
• Operate vehicle safely while maintaining DOT compliance and following local, state, and Federal requirements.
• Ensure on-time delivery while communicating professionally with customers and vendors.
• The position will be based in the Distribution Center associated with this job post.

Main responsibilities

• Safely transport goods from one location to another.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Plan routes to meet delivery schedules.
• Report issues or incidents to the dispatch team.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.

Essential functions

• We are looking for relief coverage extraboard drivers. We offer both dedicated shuttle and direct store delivery routes. Our drivers are home most nights, with flexible schedules and start times.
• Our drivers earn an extra $60 per night on overnight routes, which could require 1-2 layovers a week.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class-A
• Minimum of 1-year prior commercial vehicle driving experience required.
• Able to carry, lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
• Experience delivering food products is a bonus
