Overview
Mas Tec Civil is hiring a Roadway Foreman to join our team in Boynton Beach, FL. The Foreman supervises and coordinates the work of construction workers on a site, ensuring the job is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. They oversee daily production targets, safety, and the crew, and manage documentation such as timesheets, production reports, labor reports, and man-hour reports.
Responsibilities- Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel.
- Sustaining daily safety meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each different job activity.
- Explaining construction means and methods to crew members as needed.
- Delegating individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
- Providing adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
- Emphasizing the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment while providing training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
- Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
- Regularly reporting project status to supervisors.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work area and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
- Ability to think logically about the work at hand and compare site conditions with project designs.
- Ability to read blueprints and other project-related documents.
- Ability to use email, smartphone, tablet, or computer to manage company information and documents.
- Must be able to maintain acceptable attendance standards per the employee handbook.
- Maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities of the construction site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
- 1-year construction related experience (roads, highways, bridges, etc.).
- Completion of high school or secondary education is preferred.
