Role OverviewIdeal candidates are reflective, entrepreneurial teachers who can reimagine traditional lessons, fuel student curiosity, and thrive in fast‑moving, flexible environments. They collaborate with families and teammates to co‑create a student‑centered learning culture.
Key Responsibilities- Design an immersive physical education experience that feels less like “lessons” and more like personal journeys.
- Adapt strategies to meet each student’s unique style, transforming challenges into opportunities.
- Experiment with new models and tools that disrupt the traditional mold of education.
- Measure progress using assessments as instruments for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate deeply with families to co‑create individualized learning paths that empower rather than constrain.
- Contribute to the school’s policy, culture, and direction as part of a movement toward the next era of education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Must hold a valid Florida Teacher Certification in Physical Education K–12 OR a Temporary Florida Teaching Certificate with an agreement to complete full Florida Educator Certification in Physical Education within three years of employment start date.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching or coaching experience preferred.
- Strong background in physical education, fitness, and health instruction.
- Experience with individualized and inclusive teaching approaches.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Driven, reflective learner with a growth mindset.
- Empathy for students and enthusiasm for developing personalized, one‑to‑one learning relationships.
