Position:
Teacher – Early Education

School:
Calvary Christian Academy Boynton Beach

Reports to:

Director of Early Education

Full‑time,

Hours:

7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday – Friday (may require occasional evening or weekend work)

Responsibilities
  • Model Christ in word and deed.
  • Write biblically integrated lesson plans weekly according to CCA BB guidelines.
  • Maintain communication with parents per policy.
  • Read and respond to CCA email/staff communications upon arrival, midday, and before departure.
  • Attend staff devotions one day per week.
  • Attend CCA staff meetings and Calvary Chapel Fort BB staff meetings.
  • Participate in grade‑level team meetings.
  • Attend school events such as Back to School Night.
  • Participate in accreditation process for the school's continuous improvement plan.
  • Engage in professional development.
  • Adhere to specified professional dress.
  • Participate in designated chapels.
  • Open each class with prayer.
  • Complete weekly lesson plan.
  • Give specific praise and encouragement.
  • Decorate classroom bulletin boards seasonally and quarterly.
  • Maintain accurate student records.
  • Prepare interims and records on Brightwell.
  • Integrate school‑wide theme scriptures.
  • Teach through Biblical Integration method.
  • Discipline with love; establish behavior incentives.
  • Provide remediation or enrichment as needed.
  • Assess student progress.
  • Enforce student dress code.
  • Maintain subfolder.
  • Secure classrooms for ministries.
  • Erase whiteboards at end of each day.
  • Lift 40 pounds.
Qualifications
  • Strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
  • Commitment to Calvary Chapel philosophy and Statement of Faith.
  • Live a life aligned with the Leadership Covenant.
  • Love of teaching the Word.
  • Sense of calling to serve as a teacher.
  • Commitment to educational philosophies of CCA.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with children, parents, colleagues.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
  • DCF 45‑hour Child Care training.
  • Spiritual gifts: teaching, discernment, administration, leadership, service, exhortation.
  • Group facilitation skills.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Computer skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Flexibility.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Early Childhood Pre‑K Teacher – bachelor’s degree in elementary education (preferred).
  • Register for 45‑hour childcare training within ninety days of employment.
  • VPK certification preferred.
  • Complete physical examination before classroom entry.
  • Complete 10 hours of in‑service early childhood training per BCCLE.
  • Undergo mandatory background screening through Florida and clearinghouse.
  • Participate in continuing professional development.
Work Schedule

Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (40 hrs/week). Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
