Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience is looking for a loving, nurturing, and dependable Infant Teacher to join our team! Our infant classrooms are designed to provide a safe, warm, and engaging environment where babies can build trusting relationships, explore their surroundings, and reach important developmental milestones.
We are looking for someone who understands that caring for infants is about much more than meeting their basic needs—it’s about building relationships, creating meaningful learning experiences, and providing individualized care throughout the day.
What You’ll Do- Provide a safe, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants
- Build strong, trusting relationships with each child and their family
- Follow individualized feeding, diapering, sleeping, and care routines
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and communicate important updates with families
- Engage infants through age-appropriate activities, music, movement, books, sensory experiences, and exploration
- Support children’s social-emotional, cognitive, language, physical, and early learning development
- Follow TLE curriculum and classroom routines appropriate for infants
- Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
- Follow all health, safety, supervision, and licensing requirements
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and center leadership
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and team members
- Participate in classroom transitions, daily routines, and center events
- Create a positive environment where every child feels safe, loved, and valued
- DCF 45-Hour Certification required
- Previous experience working with infants strongly preferred
- CDA or additional early childhood education coursework preferred
Understanding of infant development and age-appropriate practices - Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, patient, nurturing, and professional
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and classroom routines
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Comfortable communicating with families regarding their child’s day
- Ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude in a busy classroom
- Someone who is attentive to detail and takes pride in providing quality care
- Must be willing to learn and follow The Learning Experience’s curriculum, standards, and expectations
