As we continue expanding rapidly, we are seeking an experienced financial leader to strengthen our financial infrastructure and support long-term growth.

Position Overview

Nex Gen Technologies is seeking a strategic, hands‑on Vice President of Finance to oversee financial strategy, operations, and planning. This executive leader will be responsible for ensuring financial health, optimizing operational efficiency, and partnering with the CEO to guide company growth.

A key responsibility of this role is to secure additional funding for the business as needed including equity, debt, grants, or strategic partnerships to support expansion and product innovation. The VP of Finance will also oversee payroll, accounts payable, and all billable operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Lead Nex Gen’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Develop long‑term financial models to support strategic decisions and resource allocation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team regarding financial health, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build scalable financial processes and infrastructure to support rapid growth.
Capital Strategy & Fundraising
  • Secure additional funding for Nex Gen Technologies as needed through equity, debt, grants, or strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare investor presentations, forecasts, board materials, and due diligence documentation.
  • Manage and strengthen investor relations with consistent, transparent communication.
Financial Operations & Accounting
  • Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closes.
  • Maintain GAAP compliant financial statements, internal controls, and audit readiness.
  • Own cash flow strategy, treasury management, and financial risk mitigation.
  • Implement cost management initiatives to support profitability and operational efficiency.
Payroll, Accounts Payable & Billable Operations
  • Direct the payroll function, ensuring compliant, accurate, and timely processing.
  • Oversee accounts payable, maintaining vendor controls, approval processes, and cash flow prioritization.
  • Lead billable operations, including invoicing, revenue recognition, collections, and reporting.
  • Partner with Operations and Customer Success to ensure accurate, timely billing workflows and client financial documentation.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry financial regulations.
  • Manage risk assessment, insurance, tax strategies, and legal financial documentation in coordination with external advisors.
  • Lead internal and external audits and maintain a strong control environment.
Team Leadership
  • Create a culture of accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Customer Success, and Product to align financial processes with business goals.
Qualifications Required
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, worked in SaaS or technology companies.
  • Demonstrated experience securing capital (equity and/or debt) and managing investor relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  • Experience overseeing payroll, accounts payable, and billing operations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and executive presence.
  • Hands‑on operator who can scale processes while maintaining strategic visibility.
Preferred
  • Experience in early‑stage or high‑growth startups
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics, ARR/MRR modeling, ASC 606, and subscription billing systems
