DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for working with the Business Development and Senior Portfolio/Underwriting teams in order to produce detailed credit and business review packages of prospective clients, that are vital in enabling a sound credit decisions to be made by Seacoast Business Funding (SBF) Senior Management Team consistent with current loan policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities commiserate with work experience and Division needs as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates on initial calls / informational meetings with SBF prospects along with the Business Development Officers and Underwriters to determine viability of the company for financing with SBF.
- Requests prospect and customer information as directed by SBF President and SVP of Revenue during Due Diligence process.
- Performs initial financial statement data spread, account debtor credit review, accounts receivable / accounts payable data and company background information presentation to SBF Senior Management for review and analysis.
- Performs or directs on site prospect collateral exams as required on new SBF transactions.
- Interacts with target company personnel as situation dictates, typically through email or phone.
- Prepares final Credit Authorization Request document for review of SBF Senior Management team.
- Attends and participates (as required) in Presentations to Seacoast Bank Officer's Loan Committee.
- Assists with SBF's Account Management/Portfolio Team with duties assigned by Portfolio Manager to enhance efficiency and reduce portfolio risk.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required; preferably in Accounting/Finance or Business. Graduate coursework and/or degree preferred.
- Experience:
5-15+ years' experience in a Client Management or Underwriting position within the Factoring or ABL industry. - Field Exam experience a plus.
