Dialysis Patient Care Technician – PCT Chronic In‑center, Boynton Beach, FL

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician position is for our Boynton Beach Clinic, located at 1500 Gateway Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33426.

• Patient care: Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high‑quality dialysis treatment. Gather patient statistics before and after treatment, initiate treatment, monitor patients during treatment, terminate treatment, and collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
• Technician duties: Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments, clean and disinfect machines after treatment, conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
• Safety and quality: Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Work under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations, and participate in required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
• Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
• Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
• Ability to distinguish all primary colors.

• Successful completion of the USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency within 8 weeks of hire.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
• Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or nationally commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.
