Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, Florida is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Day Shift team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who is passionate about helping residents improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life in a supportive skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Physical Therapist in providing safe, effective, and individualized therapy services based on each resident’s needs and care plan.
Provide compassionate, professional care while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
Follow all facility and departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained, readily available, and in good working condition.
Promptly report hazardous conditions, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
Follow infection control procedures and all applicable safety protocols.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Report missing, damaged, or unclear labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team to support resident goals and outcomes.
Current, unrestricted Florida license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing, nursing home, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary team.
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
Ability to follow safety, infection control, and facility policies and procedures.
