Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Isles of Boynton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and hardworking Dietary Aide to join our dietary team. The Dietary Aide plays an important role in supporting meal service and ensuring our residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, assemble, and set up resident meal trays according to individualized diets and meal tickets.
- Ensure meals are delivered to residents accurately, promptly, and courteously.
- Assist with meal service and dining room setup and cleanup.
- Retrieve meal trays and properly break down trays after meals.
- Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, dining, and food service areas.
- Perform trash removal, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and other cleaning duties.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and facility policies.
- Assist with food preparation and service for special events and resident activities.
- Properly handle food, dishes, utensils, and dietary equipment.
- Maintain dietary supplies and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized manner.
- Work cooperatively with dietary staff, nursing staff, and other departments to meet resident needs.
- Previous experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, healthcare, hospital, restaurant, or food service environment preferred.
- Long‑term care or healthcare dietary experience is a plus, but not required
. - Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to follow individualized dietary and meal requirements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must demonstrate a respectful and compassionate approach when interacting with residents.
