Front End Coach

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. Tourto Teach communication and collaboration across all associate levels on store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, sets clear expectations and guidance, implements business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams effectively. Models exceptional customer service using the One Best Way OBW service model, supports customer service initiatives such as community outreach programs, resolves customer complaints, and develops action plans.

• Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
• Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and mitigate shrink to meet sales and profit goals.
• Supervise and develop hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, recognize achievements, and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs.
• Coordinate job‑related activities, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and oversee plans and initiatives that meet customer and business needs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and values; support Open Door policy and foster ethical conduct.
• Promote a culture of belonging, respect differences, and create a workplace where associates feel seen and supported.
• Act with integrity, maintain highest standards of ethics, enforce Walmart’s values, and support regenerative company goals.
• Serve customers and members, deliver results, adapt to shopping behaviors, apply EDLP/EDLC models, and base decisions on data insights.
• Strive for excellence: demonstrate curiosity, take calculated risks, drive continuous improvements, and support others through change.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 – $. Additional compensation includes performance bonuses and may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) and Complex Structure adjustments.

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For firearms facilities, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For ammunition facilities, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility if required.
• Associates must attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments.

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
• General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
