Join Our Leadership TeamHeartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Unit Manager to lead and oversee nursing operations on an assigned unit. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about delivering high‑quality care while supporting and developing a team of nursing professionals.
Position SummaryThe RN Unit Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing nursing services to ensure the highest level of resident care. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations while fostering a positive, team‑oriented environment that prioritizes resident dignity and staff excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage daily nursing operations on the assigned unit
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies
- Supervise nursing staff, assign duties, and support professional development
- Review nursing documentation for accuracy and quality of care
- Address staff concerns, complaints, and grievances in collaboration with leadership
- Participate in resident assessments, care planning, and MDS completion
- Maintain appropriate levels of medications, supplies, and equipment
- Promote a culture of dignity, respect, and resident‑centered care
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Participate in QAPI initiatives and performance improvement activities
- Respond to emergencies and assist with life safety drills as needed
- Provide direct patient care and assume nurse assignments when required
- RN degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in long‑term care, restorative, or geriatric settings
- Minimum 1 year of nursing management or supervisory experience
- Current CPR certification
- Active RN license in good standing with no disciplinary actions
- Nursing home experience required
