DescriptionThe Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse – Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The RN delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.
Qualifications- Degree:
Associates in Nursing (or Bachelors in Nursing) - Licenses &
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Registered Nurse (RN) - Additional Qualifications:
- RNs hired prior to specific dates are not required to have a BSN to continue as non‑leadership RN.
- RNs with an Associate's degree hired after the specified dates have 3 years from date of hire to complete a BSN.
- RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
- Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
- Required to hold BLS and may need ACLS per department standards.
- Minimum 18 months experience in acute Med‑Surg or Telemetry (Cardiac Tele preferred).
Candidates must have 2 years acute Med Surg Tele experience and Cardiac Telemetry experience preferred. Basic Life Support required.
