Registered Nurse, Infusion Therapy

Pay Range: $33.70/hr - $46.84/hr shift: 8A-4:30P. Specialty:
Non‑Procedural.

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional who must demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies, including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The role delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner and promotes evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

• Provide direct patient care following infusion protocols.
• Assess patients, plan and implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control practices.

Degrees

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (or Bachelors degree).

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• ONSC/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Additional Qualifications

• After 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), or 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s), RNs with an Associate’s degree have 3 years from hire to complete a BSN.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Required certifications may include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card depending on department standards.

Minimum Required Experience

• Six months RN infusion experience.
• BLS required.
• ONS required within six months of hire.
