Job Summary

Slices, packages, weighs, and sells various deli products, including meats and cheeses. Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including deli display cases. Provides assistance to members in the deli department. Team members carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance, and strive for flawless execution.

Part‑time 20 hours per week:
Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 4:00p.m.–9:30p.m.

• Provide a high level of customer service to members.
• Answer questions and recommend deli items.
• Take special orders and place member calls.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats.
• Help members select the correct products and sample products to assist in purchasing decisions.
• Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
• Receive and inspect deli shipments.
• Display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures.
• Check for out‑of‑date products daily and follow appropriate product salvage policies and procedures.
• Ensure deli cooler shelves and deli display cases have a wide variety of product.
• Stock and rotate deli items when necessary.
• Operate and handle deli equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler.
• Ensure scale systems are in working order and items are weighed and priced accurately.
• Maintain all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Most of the time is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. A need may arise to examine or scan merchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/or stooping. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds, and may require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects greater than 30 pounds with assistance. Work is in a comfortable indoor environment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers, and may involve frequent exposure to cleaning agents.

According to pay transparency requirements, the compensation range for this position starts at $16.75 per hour. Actual salaries will vary depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
