Life Safety Management is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and applicable codes. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of fire protection systems and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair of fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings related to fire protection systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, local building codes, and company policies.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of various types of sprinkler systems.
- Operate hand and power tools commonly used in fire protection, including pipe cutters, threading machines, and wrenches.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in fire protection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper care of company vehicle and tools.
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- Five years of experience in fire sprinkler service or installation preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards and codes.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and provide outstanding customer service.
This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low‑voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
Some roles may require travel.
