Responsibilities
Kforce's client, a growing manufacturing organization located in the Montana, is seeking a Controller to support cost accounting, financial analysis, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities. This highly visible role partners with operations and site leadership to provide financial insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform manufacturing variance analysis and cost center reviews
- Maintain standard costing and inventory accounting processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Analyze inventory, overhead costs, and operational performance metrics
- Prepare financial reports and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Review purchase orders and assign general ledger coding
- Partner with Operations, Materials, and Accounts Payable teams to resolve variances and discrepancies
- Assist with fixed asset audits and inventory controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience required
- Strong background in standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis
- Experience supporting operational leaders with financial decision-making
- SAP or similar ERP experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and data analysis
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
