Job SummaryThe Sr. Global Product Manager – Medical Devices owns and drives the execution of technical product initiatives across the full product lifecycle. This role translates complex business, customer, and technical requirements into actionable product strategies and clear development priorities. Operating with increased autonomy, the Senior Product Manager – Life Sciences Consumables partners closely with engineering, quality, operations, regulatory, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business objectives and customer needs in the sterilization and disinfection consumables space.
Duties & Responsibilities- Own product roadmaps for assigned products, platforms, or major features, ensuring alignment with business strategy and technical capabilities.
- Define and prioritize product requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria based on customer needs, market input, and technical feasibility.
- Balance short-term delivery needs with longer-term product evolution and sustainability.
- Serve as the primary product interface for engineering and technical teams throughout development and sustaining activities.
- Lead cross-functional alignment across engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and commercial stakeholders.
- Facilitate decision-making by clearly articulating trade-offs, risks, and impacts.
- Drive execution of new product development, sustaining engineering efforts, and product changes through established development and quality processes.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; develop mitigation strategies and elevate when appropriate.
- Lead product launch readiness activities, including documentation, training support, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage product performance post-launch, supporting enhancements, issue resolution, and lifecycle decisions.
- Incorporate customer feedback, field input, and usage data into product decisions and prioritization.
- Conduct competitive, market, and internal analysis to inform product positioning and roadmap decisions.
- Translate insights into clear recommendations for product improvements or new capabilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of product management practices, tools, and documentation standards.
- Share product management best practices and provide informal guidance or mentorship to junior product managers or cross-functional partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, Business, or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of experience in medical device and/or life sciences product management.
- Experience working in sterilization and disinfection consumables space is preferred.
- Product management experience overseeing a biological indicator product line is a plus.
- Strong understanding of product development life cycles and technical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical and business needs into prioritized product requirements.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority.
- Proficiency with product management, project tracking, and documentation tools.
