A Little Journey Montessori School is a private Montessori school in Bozeman, MT that is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Assistant Director to join the leadership team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong administrative capability, deep respect for the Montessori philosophy, and an ability to lead with clarity, accountability, and professionalism.

• Oversee daily school operations, staffing, scheduling, and program compliance.
• Support and uphold Montessori methodology across all classrooms.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and coaching to teaching staff.
• Maintain communication with ownership, families, community partners, and teaching staff.
• Lead enrollment, admissions, and student placement processes.
• Ensure adherence to state licensing regulations and internal policies.
• Uphold school culture, professional expectations, and child safety standards.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Montessori certification (AMI/AMS/MACTE) strongly preferred.
• Leadership or administrative experience in a Montessori or early childhood setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams with professionalism and accountability.
• Understanding of licensing requirements and early childhood best practices preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
