General Statement

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to all aspects of the animal production industry, including livestock, water, range and pasture, wildlife management, nutrition, reproduction and meat products. • Assist with graduate student projects including:
  • Data collection
  • Analysis and publication
  • Guest lecture in Animal Science courses
• Work independently on animal research projects.

• Masters Degree in Animal Science or related field.
• Experience working with ruminant livestock.
• Experience with ruminant nutrition laboratory methods.
• Experience with data management and analysis.
• Experience with manuscript preparation.

• Solid background with forage nutrition as it relates to beef production.
• Proven track record in oral and written communication.
• Willingness to assist other graduate students with research, including laboratory work, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Understanding and experience in low-stress livestock management.

The successful candidate will have a solid background in ruminant nutrition research and beef production systems. Abilities will include forage chemistry training, sample processing, conducting animal performance and nutrition research projects.
