General Statement

Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non‑tenurable level instruction and/or related functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Instructors will teach Humanities courses (Art, Music, Literature, History, Religious Studies, Philosophy) at Bozeman, MSU, or East Frontage Road locations. Duties include curriculum delivery, student assessment, and academic support.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a relevant area.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and engaging students and colleagues of all backgrounds within and outside the department.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College‑level teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment.
The Successful Candidate Will
  • Work professionally and effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Possess effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Contribute positively to the academic success of students and the mission of Gallatin College at Montana State University.

Special Requirements /Additional Information

This may be a union position. Eligibility for benefits depends on FTE and collective‑bargaining agreements.

  • Associate of Arts (A.A.) – foundation of general education with emphasis on arts, humanities, and social sciences.
