Animal and Range Sciences Non-Tenure Track Faculty; Pool

Brief Position Overview

Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenured level instruction and/or related functions. Applications are accepted on a continual basis and will be maintained in the hiring pool for two (2) years. After this period, candidates must re‑submit materials for continued consideration. Appointments are part‑time and vary in duration (a couple of weeks, a semester, or an academic year), depending on departmental needs.

Salary is based on the number of courses taught and the duration of the appointment.

• Teaching on‑campus or online courses.
• Advising, evaluating and assisting students.
• Participating in weekly faculty meetings.
• Meeting regularly with, collaborating with, and evaluating a peer leader if one is assigned to your section.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to instruction.

1. Advanced degree.
2. Prior teaching experience directly related to the position for which you are applying.
3. Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of college student development.

• Have the ability to relate to students and develop classroom rapport.
• Work effectively with all student populations.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Utilize engaging pedagogy that involves students in the learning process.
• Take initiative and work well independently.
• Learn material quickly and adapt to changing environments.
