Zoot Adventure Learning Academy is now accepting applications for a full-time Early Childhood Teacher. The Early Childhood Teacher is responsible for collaborating with the Early Childhood Lead Teacher in all classrooms to plan, create, and implement a program that fulfills children's educational, developmental, cognitive, emotional and social needs. Under direct supervision of the Early Childhood Lead Teacher, the Early Childhood Teacher will carry out daily activities and plans.

He or she will provide guidance for children's behavior. This position will provide teaching assistance in all three classrooms (infant, toddler, and pre-school) as needed.

In order to build that understanding, children need to see, touch, smell, hear, taste, and experience the world by direct interactions and experiences!

Schedule:

This position will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday - Friday.

• Assist in the implementation of the program in accordance with the policy and philosophy of the center.
• Gear care to the needs of the individual children, with concern for their interests, challenges, special talents, and individual styles and paces of learning.
• Assist in preparing the childcare environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
• Respond to the children with dignity and respect.
• Help children become aware of their roles as integral members of a group.
• Help with general housekeeping tasks.
• Assist Director in appropriate ways as directed.
• Maintain professional attitude and loyalty to center at all times.
• Attend all staff meetings, recommended training programs, and conferences.
• Ensure the confidentiality of all records of the children, families, and staff.
• Report any suspect abuse to supervisor immediately.
• Arrange and maintain a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment per program goals and state regulations.
• Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials.
• Keep all appropriate records such as, attendance and time sheets.
• Meet and maintain all applicable licensing regulations.
• Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on-time, high-quality products and services to internal and external customers.

• High School Diploma, Preferred
• Certifications
  • Adult/Infant First Aid/AED/CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid State of Montana Driver License with clean driving record.
  • Current Immunizations:
    • Tetanus (within the past 10 years)
    • MMR (measles/mumps/rubella.)
• Level 1 or higher on MT Practitioner Registry
• Previous childcare experience with ages 6 weeks – 6 years old preferred.
• Have excellent oral and written language skills to communicate with children and adults.
