Global Health Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)
Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and related functions. Instructors will teach Global Health courses such as LS 104:
Intro to Global Health, with assignments depending on department needs.
Position is part-time, contract-based, taught on a semester or academic year basis. Salary commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities- Design and/or deliver Global Health courses, as assigned.
- If teaching online, complete specialized online training and attend workshops.
- Assist with curriculum and/or course development when applicable.
- Collaborate with other faculty to ensure consistent standards across courses.
- Participate in faculty meetings and workshops when called.
- Participate in program and university assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Hold appropriate office hours and be available for student questions and concerns.
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a field related to global health.
- Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.
- Demonstrated knowledge of college student development.
- Terminal degree in a field related to global health.
- Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.
- Engage in pedagogy that involves students in the learning process.
- Effectively collaborate with faculty and staff.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Take initiative, exercise good judgment, and work well independently.
- Support Montana State University’s values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Union affiliation is determined by job duties and the collective bargaining unit. Positions .5 FTE or more are represented by the Associated Faculty of Montana State University (AFMSU).
