Position Overview

The Department of Human Development and Community Health seeks course instructors in the following areas:

  • Community Health
  • Family and Consumer Sciences
  • Human Development and Family Science
  • Early Childhood Education (Preschool – Age
    3)
  • Variable content courses

Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)

Term:
Semester (Fall or Spring). FTE:
Varies. Salary:
Commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Teach on‑campus or online courses.
  • Advise, evaluate, and assist students.
  • Develop curriculum and/or courses.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or terminal degree in an appropriate field with an academic background commensurate with teaching one or more of the specialty areas listed above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic or professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching interdisciplinary courses.
  • Knowledge of college student development.
  • Commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment.
Successful Candidate
  • Possess effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Contribute positively to the academic success of students and the mission of Montana State University.
