Political Science Non‑Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)
Montana State University seeks qualified individuals to provide non‑tenurable level instruction and/or related functions in political science sub‑fields, including American Politics, Political Theory, Public Administration and Policy, International Relations, and Research Methods.
Note:
This position is not eligible for NEW sponsorship.
- Teach on‑campus or online courses as assigned.
- Advise, evaluate, and assist students.
- Master’s degree in political science, public administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience teaching undergraduates.
- PhD in political science or public administration.
- Experience teaching political science courses.
- Knowledge of college student development.
- Ability to build rapport with freshmen and all students.
- Mentor and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Skilled in engaging pedagogy that involves students in the learning process.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Potential to provide leadership and assume responsibility for organizational and program activities.
