Montana State University is hiring a Training and Development Specialist. This role involves designing, implementing, and continuously improving educational programs that promote inclusive dialogue, effective communication, and community engagement among students, faculty, and staff. The specialist manages signature programs like Safe Zone and Cultural Bridges while collaborating with campus partners to enhance training capacity and impact.

Highlights
  • Design, develop, assess, and revise curricula for Skills to Dialogue (S2D), Safe Zone, and Cultural Bridges programs.
  • Manage signature training programs and coordinate workshop logistics including scheduling and materials preparation.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to identify training needs and co-create workshops focused on inclusion and communication.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor student and staff facilitators to expand program reach and effectiveness.
  • Develop marketing and communication strategies to promote programs and increase university-wide participation.
  • Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in relevant fields, experience facilitating trainings, curriculum development, program coordination, and strong communication skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, higher education experience, knowledge of intergroup dialogue and conflict resolution, and marketing or outreach experience.
  • Starting salary begins at $23.323 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Position is classified, benefits eligible, with full-time employment under the Division of Student Success.
  • Works closely with diverse campus populations and the Director on strategic training initiatives and custom workshops.
