Assistant Dean - Student Success and Outreach

Montana State University is hiring an Assistant Dean - Student Success and Outreach. This role leads strategic planning and operational support to enhance recruitment, retention, and success initiatives for undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Education, Health & Human Development. The Assistant Dean collaborates with the college leadership to implement policies and represent the college in university committees.

• Develop and implement recruitment and retention action plans for diverse programs.
• Spearhead local to international student recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Dean's office and Admissions.
• Establish comprehensive student support services and coordinate outreach programs such as orientation events.
• Manage data related to key performance indicators and student success with the Office of Planning and Analysis.
• Support advising teams and liaise with graduate program coordinators and the Graduate School.
• Coordinate policies on student conduct, including FERPA and suspension appeals processes.
• Represent the college in MSU committees like the Assistant Deans Council and Suspension Appeals Board.
• Oversee budgets associated with student success initiatives alongside the college's fiscal manager.
• Required qualifications include a master's degree or equivalent, experience in student recruitment, retention, or advising, and demonstrated engagement with diverse populations.
• Starting salary begins at $80,000, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
