Position Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to help design, build, and refine machines used in high-tech manufacturing. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, contribute, and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment focused on real-world applications in fabrication and automation, and enjoys both conceptual and hands-on involvement in projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- ∙Design mechanical systems for laser cutting machines, robotic welding platforms, and custom automation tools.
- ∙Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using Fusion 360 and AutoCAD.
- ∙Participate in prototyping, assembly, and testing of machines and sub-systems.
- ∙Work with technicians to provide solution assistance for end-user problems.
- ∙Prepare documentation including machine manuals, part drawings, BOMs, and revision notes.
- ∙Support product improvements and on-the-floor troubleshooting as needed.
- ∙Travel up to 20%
Qualifications:
- ∙Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- ∙Proficient in Fusion 360 and AutoCAD or similar software.
- ∙Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of structural design and machine components.
- ∙Familiarity with fabrication processes such as welding, machining, and sheet metal work.
- ∙Comfortable working in a collaborative, hands-on environment.
- ∙Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have (Not Required):
- ∙Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, Yaskawa).
- ∙Basic knowledge of CNC systems or laser cutting equipment.
- ∙Understanding of GD&T and mechanical drafting standards.
- ∙Previous internship in machine design or manufacturing.
- ∙Salary: $60,000–$75,000, depending on experience
