Description

Jackola Engineering and Architecture in Bozeman, Montana is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with an Engineer Intern (EI) Certification to join our full-service design team. In this collaborative role, you’ll work alongside multidisciplinary professionals, clients, contractors, and vendors to bring innovative projects to life.

You’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio, including office buildings, schools, multifamily residences, hotels, restaurants, banks, and retail spaces—plus other high-profile developments. Occasional travel to job sites for client meetings and site observations may be required to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers throughout design and construction.
  • Identify and solve problems with a goal to provide relevant and constructable solutions.
  • Work in a multidiscipline team environment to develop and design HVAC and plumbing concepts, systems, drawings, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, internal design teams, and manufacturers.
  • Major equipment selection and scheduling.
  • Use various software packages to calculate building loads including heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems.
  • Respond to contractors during the construction.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited University.
  • Successfully passed the FE exam and possess EI Certification.
  • 0-2 years relevant design experience with building mechanical systems.
  • Autodesk Revit Mechanical drafting experience.
  • Organized and able to handle multiple tasks at a time.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and be part of a team.
