We have two positions open on our engineering team and we’re looking for someone to bring us new ideas to add value for our customers and industry.
Summary/Objective
The mission of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the products we make are safe, meet all specified material properties, are correctly designed / specified, and when needed repaired. The Engineer - Market owns the relationship between PWT Engineering, our distribution partners, the specification industry, and builders. The focus is on collecting and sharing market information with the rest of the Engineering team and company.
This position works closely with the PWT Sales Team, Distributors, Dealers, and Specifiers to understand the applications EWP products are used in by territory and region.
Specifically, how EWP products are specified and used in residential, commercial, and industrial markets. They will share that information with the Business and Engineering team to ensure that PWT products meet market expectations and are supported by the PWT Technical Literature and Design Software.

- Maintain relationships with the technical staff atall our distribution partners.
- Collect and share market knowledge related toengineeredwoodproducts, applications,and specifications.
- Respond to design questions.
- Develop engineered solutions tocomplex design conditions.
- Meet or exceed the Engineering Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Develop andmaintainworking relationships with both PWTstaff and our customers
- Ability to synthesize complex technical topics for non-Engineers

Required Education and Experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Experience in design of EWP products (I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB) desirable .
