Do you identify as a natural leader with a passion for quality and continuous improvement? In this role you will be responsible for the manufacturing quality and strategy for high reliability space electronics and microcircuits, with focus to minimize quality costs and risk, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve zero defects. Areas of focus include factory compliance, process quality, deviation management, and customer quality.

In

your new role you will:

· Provide QA leadership for multiple sites (Leominster, MA, San Jose, CA)

· Administer the factory centralized QA program and drive a continuous improvement culture

· Achieve MIL-technology program certification and internal test method (lab suitability) compliance

· Assure product compliance and reliability to specification requirements and military standards

· Be responsible for First Articles and Customer Source Inspection activity

· Support government & customer quality audits of factory

· Provide total quality management tools for improvement initiatives and to promote zero defect mindset throughout the manufacturing flows

· Advance the use of Product Flows, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Control Plans for product lines

· Oversee database and reports of quality issues for internal and external activity

· Lead material review board (MRB) and initiate corrective action, containment and notification activities as necessary

· Investigate customer complaints and inquiries for timely resolution with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to meet customer requirements and expectations

· Drive the identification of root cause of internal quality issues and execution of product/process quality improvements through preventive / corrective actions

· Facilitate cross-functional problem solving activities via 8D corrective actions (incl. 5-whys and error proofing methods)

· Liaison to customers relative to product deviation and acceptance (waiver)

· Conduct failure analysis using a defined (systematic) course of action to derive the root cause and associated failure mechanisms

· Conduct destructive physical analysis to verify construction, interfaces and integrity of parts

· Collaborate with factory and offer guidance on technical matters relating to material / failure analysis and in support of reliability risk assessment and corrective actions

· Maintain defect catalog and FA techniques for IR Rad Hard technologies

· Foster a culture of strong teamwork and continuous improvement across functional areas within the site and with other sites

· Perform other duties as assigned

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

· Minimum BS degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting design, development, manufacturing and/or supplier quality activities

· Minimum 5 years management experience

· ASQ certification or ability to demonstrate proven results with Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) tools or Six Sigma preferred

· Lead Auditor Certification is a plus

· Strong interactive skills, including written and verbal communication skills

· Good planning, analysis, innovation, and negotiation skills

· Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task to drive tasks to closure in order to support customer commitments and business objectives

· Advanced knowledge of manufacturing and microelectronics production process

· Experience dealing with customers and suppliers

· AS 9100/ISO 9001 quality system and process audit experience

· Familiarity with Electronics Standards, such as JEDEC, MIL-PRF-38534 or MIL-PRF-19500
