At Coffman Engineers, we serve as both prime consultant and sub consultant on projects large and small, including commercial, retail, institutional, government, industrial, and project/construction management. Design a safer, better world by contributing to the Coffman Engineers Fire Protection team. This entry-level Fire Protection Engineer position supports the team in providing clients with: automatic suppression system design, fire detection, alarm and communication system design, code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant construction analysis, smoke control analysis, and general fire protection and life safety concepts and research. The Bozeman Fire Protection department has six licensed Fire Protection Engineers and multiple NICET certified designers to provide training and support.
The Bozeman and Boise offices require in-office presence to support active training and mentorship.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Civil, Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degrees will be considered
- Background working in the Fire Protection or Fire Alarm industry (preferred)
- Experience with drafting software (REVIT and AutoCAD) (preferred)
- General building construction knowledge (preferred)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on a high-functioning team
