Process Control Engineer

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Process Control Engineer to support our manufacturing operations and drive safe, reliable, and efficient production. In this role, you will design, program, and maintain DCS/PLC and HMI systems, troubleshoot control issues, and optimize processes for quality, uptime, and energy use. You'll collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to implement automation improvements, support capital projects, and ensure compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and maintain DCS/PLC and HMI/SCADA systems for mill operations.
• Troubleshoot control system and instrumentation issues to minimize downtime.
• Analyze production data to improve quality, throughput, and energy efficiency.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on process improvements.
• Support capital projects, including control system design, commissioning, and startup.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry control standards.
• Develop and maintain control documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on control systems and changes.
