Commercial Loan Officer

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Loan Officer to join our team. • In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and managing commercial loan relationships. Your responsibilities will include:
• Analyzing loan applications to assess creditworthiness and risk factors.
• Conducting in-depth interviews with loan applicants to understand their financial needs.
• Evaluating business plans and financial statements to determine loan eligibility.
• Examining credit ratings and financial data to make informed lending decisions.
• Providing friendly, professional, and efficient service to all customers.
• Developing new business opportunities by calling on current and potential customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their financial needs are met and proactively seeking opportunities for new business.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide customized loan solutions that help their business grow.
• Ensuring compliance with banking regulations and company policies.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in commercial lending, excellent customer service skills, and industry knowledge. Key qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field preferred or comparable experience.

• Experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of local business environment, agricultural industry, and commercial lending processes in Montana.

• Knowledge of financial analysis, loan underwriting, and credit risk assessment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to customer relationship management.
• Excellent communication skills to build trust with clients and internal teams.
• A results-driven mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of local market dynamics and regulatory requirements.
