We are hiring a Teller at First Interstate Bank’s Bozeman, MT West Branch.
SUMMARYThe Teller will handle daily teller transactions in both the lobby and drive‑up locations, provide outstanding client service, and build client relationships by recognizing referral opportunities for additional products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvides client account services by processing deposits, loan payments, cashing checks, savings withdrawals, night and mail deposits, selling cashier’s checks, and redeeming savings bonds.
Answers clients’ questions in person and over the telephone and processes additional transactions such as preparing currency transaction reports.
Identifies basic cross‑sell and referral opportunities by informing clients of new services and product promotions, determining client needs, and directing clients to a banker.
Utilizes 360
View to record activities, incidents, and referrals to business partners.
Processes consumer credit card applications and completes special client requests such as closing accounts, ordering checks, exchanging foreign currency, providing special statements, completing referrals, and performing safe‑deposit box procedures.
Reconciles cash drawer, counts and packages currency and coin, submits excess cash and mutilated currency to the vault custodian, and maintains appropriate cash supplies.
Complies with bank operations and security procedures, participates in dual‑control functions, maintains client traffic surveys, audits teller currency, and assists in certification of proof.
Maintains client confidence by keeping information confidential and cautions others regarding potential breaches.
Attends training sessions and participates in volunteer activities to enhance job knowledge and support team members.

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Experience in a cash handling role preferred.
