Program and Finance Manager

Montana State University is hiring a Program and Finance Manager to manage financial and administrative operations for the Montana NSF EPSCoR program, a multi‑million dollar federally funded grant. The role includes developing advanced accounting management structures, overseeing budget administration, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and collaborating with university teams and external agencies.

• Manage the financial and administrative components of the Montana NSF EPSCoR program, including budget development and reporting.
• Develop systems to support fiscal operations within federal, state, and university guidelines.
• Oversee financial transactions, payroll practices, and audit resolution.
• Create and maintain financial databases and reporting frameworks for compliance.
• Execute and monitor contractual agreements and subawards for compliance.
• Collaborate with Montana State University, University of Montana, and federal/state agencies to ensure program compliance.
• Required skills:
  
  financial reporting, complex budget management, Microsoft Excel, Teams, SharePoint.
• Qualifications:
  
  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; experience in financial administration and research administration preferred.
• Annual salary range: $70,000 - $80,000, commensurate with experience.
• Work involves representation of Montana EPSCoR at state, regional, and national meetings and conferences.
