Duties and Responsibilities Serve as primary administrative support for active awards:

Coordinate award set-up and modifications, including subawards, in collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Manage award finances, in collaboration with Fiscal Shared Services, including budget tracking, forecasting, expense review, reporting, subrecipient monitoring, and resolution of deficits or accounting issues.

Meet regularly with principal investigators and Fiscal Shared Services to review financial status, project progress, and compliance requirements, to inform planning and decision-making.

Leverage data provided by Fiscal Shared Services to support the timely submission of financial and technical reports and assist with award closeout.

Assist with grant-funded hiring, participant support payments, procurement coordination, and logistics for grant-related events.

Support audit preparation and resolution of compliance issues.

Serve as liaison with Fiscal Shared Services, Budgeting, and Human Resources.

Support the preparation, review, and submission of grant and contract proposals with departments, the Office of Research Development, and the Office of Sponsored Programs, ensuring sponsor and institutional compliance.

Monitor compliance with financial and grant guidelines in collaboration with internal teams and University partners.

Evaluate workflows, recommend process improvements, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen research infrastructure and institutional competitiveness.

Build collaborative relationships across campus to serve as a trusted resource for grant-related activities.

Develop best practices and provide grant and fiscal-related training and workshops.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Bachelor's degreeor an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Demonstrated fiscal management experience, including preparing and monitoring budgets and financial reports.

Experience applying and interpreting applicable institutional, local, state, and federal regulations and related standards, guidelines, and policies.

Demonstrated experience using computerized accounting systems, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software to establish and maintain detailed record-keeping systems.
