Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a crucial role in managing the front desk operations, ensuring smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers, and maintaining accurate medical records.

• Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process
• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently
• Handle multi-line phone systems to answer calls, respond to inquiries and provide information regarding services
• Verify patient insurance information and perform insurance verification as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before filing in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech or eClinical Works
• Manage medical records, including filing and retrieving documents as required
• Provide clerical support including typing correspondence, maintaining office supplies and performing general administrative tasks

• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are required for effective patient interactions
