Base Compensation Range: $19.59/hr - $24.52/hr

This position is eligible for an annual 10% bonus opportunity in addition to the base salary

Sterilization and Disinfection Control division manufactures and sells biological and chemical indicators that assess the effectiveness of sterilization and disinfection processes for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental industries.

The Lab Analyst II is a mid-level position responsible for providing comprehensive support in Mesa Lab's Biological Indicator and Spore Labs. The Laboratory Analyst II will be responsible for helping to produce and test spore crops used in the biological indicator manufacturing process. This role also performs a variety of other laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, data analysis, and equipment maintenance.

Works under the supervision of senior laboratory personnel and may assist in training junior staff, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.

• Sample Preparation and Analysis:
  • Collect, label, and process samples for testing, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Perform routine analyses and tests, recording results accurately and assisting in interpreting data.
• Laboratory Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment by following proper cleaning and sanitation protocols.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of laboratory supplies and reagents, assisting with procurement as necessary.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
  • Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure that all equipment is calibrated and functioning properly, reporting any malfunctions to senior staff.
• Data Management:
  • Accurately enter and manage data in laboratory information systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist in compiling and preparing reports based on laboratory findings for review by senior personnel.
• Training and Support:
  • Provide guidance and training to Lab Analyst I and new staff members on laboratory protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and workflow.
• Compliance and Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Participate in safety training and drills, ensuring awareness of emergency procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in relevant scientific field or equivalent experience.

• Strong understanding of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
