Job Summary
Ultrasonographer General in the  location. The Ultrasound Technologist II provides diagnostic ultrasound services in acute care inpatient settings. The role involves performing ultrasound procedures, assisting physicians during exams, and ensuring accurate documentation to support diagnosis and treatment.

• Certifications, Education, and
  
  Experience:
  
  American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in at least one category OB/Gyn or Abdomen/Small Parts; ARDMS certification in at least one advanced category (Fetal Echocardiography, Breast, Pediatrics, or Registered Vascular Technology, Musculoskeletal) or ten years of experience in advanced practice with a commitment to obtain advanced registry;
  American Heart Association BLS; two (2) years of post-graduation experience in advanced ultrasound practice.
• Schedule:
  
  Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  Perform ultrasound exams in inpatient and outpatient settings, assist physicians during procedures, complete documentation for exams, retrieve and review previous studies, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and ensure proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, excellent communication skills, analytical and organizational abilities, and proficiency with computer applications and office equipment.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Repeated lifting, standing, walking, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, fine finger movements, and continuous visual and cognitive activity.
• Schedule Requirements:
  Regular and sustained attendance, including potential after-hours and on-call work.
• Additional Information:
  The facility reserves the right to cancel three (3) shifts per 13-week contract in the event of low census or unforeseen circumstances. Candidates must live at least 90 miles away from the facility to be considered.
