Information Technology User Services IT Asset & Hardware Logistics Specialist

Montana State University is hiring an Information Technology User Services IT Asset & Hardware Logistics Specialist. This role manages the receiving, tagging, inventory tracking, and campus delivery of IT hardware, coordinates with vendors and campus partners, and ensures timely distribution and accurate asset records.

• Manage receiving, inspecting, tagging, and inventory of IT hardware assets.
• Coordinate storage, staging, and delivery of equipment across university departments.
• Provide support for IT purchasing and hardware-related requests using ticketing systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to track orders, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain compliance with university and state asset tracking and security policies.
• Required skills include IT procurement, asset management, vendor coordination, and strong communication.
• Must be able to safely move equipment up to 70 pounds and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Compensation is $20.50 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
• Preferred qualifications include experience with Asset Works, Jaggaer e-procurement system, and related education or experience in IT or logistics.
• Position serves diverse campus community and supports operational efficiency in Information Technology services.
