The Teledyne FLIR Bozeman operation is a leading manufacturer of laser systems. Our products are vital components in defense, high‑end commercial, and commercial industries. We seek a highly organized and motivated Buyer to join the Materials department. The Buyer will purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.

• Source components with approved suppliers for production
• Work with suppliers on scheduling to support production requirements
• Generate purchase orders and requisitions for open requirements
• Work with suppliers to meet on‑time delivery, quality and cost objectives
• Provide analysis of costing against cost targets
• Perform cost reduction activities to maintain budgets and/or reduce costs
• Prepare reports and updates as needed
• Resolve shipment and invoice discrepancies
• Ensure accuracy of data in SAP and data entry as required

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of relevant experience in a buyer, planner or procurement/materials sourcing role preferred
• SAP experience preferred
• Knowledge of sourcing precision machined parts a plus
• Problem‑solving skills related to sourcing issues to support production requirements
• Strong time‑management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Self‑motivated; able to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills when dealing professionally with people
