Program Manager – Local Government Center

Overview

Montana State University is hiring a Program Manager – Local Government Center. The role involves independently managing operations, communications, event coordination, and program support for the MSU Extension Local Government Center to strengthen local government officials' leadership and governance across Montana.

• Manage operations, logistics, communications, and administrative tasks for the Local Government Center.
• Oversee event management including registrations, communications, recordkeeping, evaluations, and follow-ups.
• Administer the Center's Hub Spot system to manage databases, workflows, reporting, and invoicing.
• Develop strategic communications, marketing materials, and manage social media in alignment with MSU brand standards.
• Monitor and reconcile program budgets and handle financial transactions related to programs and events.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, partners, and stakeholders to plan and evaluate educational programs and professional development initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationships with local government officials, professional associations, and external partners.

• Required:
  
  program management experience, budget tracking, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong written communications.
• Preferred: event management, graphic design, virtual event management (Zoom), and experience with CRM programs such as Hub Spot.

• Salary range is $24.388 to $26.00 hourly, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
• Position includes supervisory duties and benefits eligibility.
