Senior Project Manager

Montana State University is hiring a Senior Project Manager responsible for leading and managing Project Managers and Coordinators to deliver campus projects efficiently. The Senior Project Manager coordinates planning, design, and construction efforts, manages project risks, advises on process improvements, and ensures projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.

• Lead and manage project managers and coordinators in campus project delivery.
• Coordinate planning, design, and execution of projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide coaching, workload management, and mentor staff on project management best practices.
• Collaborate with University Facilities Management and external stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
• Communicate policies and project procedures to campus clients, contractors, and authorities.
• Required skills include construction project management, contract administration, and strong communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, planning, or equivalent experience required.
• Salary is $53.37 per hour; position is exempt and includes benefits eligibility.
• Works within Campus Planning, Design & Construction department under University Services division.
